Message from the Editor-in-Chief

It is with immense pride and joy that I extend my warmest greetings to all delegates, speakers, and participants of SOCACON 2026 – World Congress of Clinical Anatomists, the 14th International Conference & Annual Meeting of the Society of Clinical Anatomists (SOCA), India, being hosted at NIMS University, Jaipur.

Since its establishment in January 2012 at Salem, Tamil Nadu, by our Founding Editor-in-Chief Dr. N. Muthukumaravel, the National Journal of Clinical Anatomy (NJCA) has remained steadfast in its mission to promote clinical anatomy and its applications in medical education, surgical practice, and translational research. Over the years, the journal has grown remarkably—indexed in DOAJ (2020), Scopus (2021), and Scimago (Q4 in 2024)—and in 2025 achieved a CiteScore of 0.4, the highest among Indian anatomy journals, and acceptance into ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index). These milestones reflect not only academic progress but also the collective commitment of our editorial team, reviewers, authors, and the vibrant SOCA community.

The theme of this world congress, "Integrating Clinical Anatomy with Imaging and Artificial Intelligence for the Next Generation," resonates strongly with NJCA's vision of bridging traditional anatomical sciences with modern innovations. Just as imaging and AI are transforming the way anatomy is perceived, taught, and applied in clinics, NJCA aspires to be a global platform where these emerging intersections of science are documented, debated, and disseminated.

As the official journal of the Society of Clinical Anatomists, NJCA is proud to be part of this historic event. I take this opportunity to invite delegates, researchers, and educators to contribute their valuable work to the journal, helping us strengthen the global footprint of clinical anatomy and highlight India's leadership in this field.

On behalf of the Editorial Board of NJCA, I congratulate the organising committee for dedicated efforts in making SOCACON 2026 a world-class academic congregation. I am confident this congress will be a landmark in advancing knowledge, nurturing collaborations, and inspiring the next generation of anatomists.

With best wishes for the grand success of SOCACON 2026.
