NJCA established at Salem, Tamil Nadu by Dr. N. Muthukumaravel (Founder & first Editor-in-Chief).

2012–2015

Indexed in Index Copernicus International and IndMed under Dr. Muthukumaravel’s leadership.

2016

Dr. Ravichandran Doraiswamy assumed role of Editor-in-Chief.

2020

Prof. (Dr.) Kumar Satish Ravi was elected and assumed the charge as Editor-In-Chief of National Journal of Clinical Anatomy.

2020-2025

  • Dr. Ravi took over as Editor-in-Chief, bringing a transformative vision to the journal.
  • Under his leadership:
    • The journal was indexed in DOAJ in May 2020.
    • It was included in Scopus and listed in SJR in 2021.
    • In 2024, it achieved Q4 ranking in SJR with an SJR score of 0.164.
    • In May 2025, it recorded the highest CiteScore among all Indian Anatomy journals, according to Scopus.
    • In August 2025, it has been accepted into the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
