About Symposium Proposal Submission

Symposia at SOCACON 2026 will be 90-minute sessions that focus on cutting-edge topics in clinical and applied anatomy, aligned with the Congress themes. Each symposium must be co-chaired by two organisers. Speakers from different countries/regions/institutions are strongly encouraged to promote diversity of perspectives.

  • Organisers are responsible for submitting the proposal and coordinating the submission of all presentation abstracts within the symposium.
  • Ensure all speakers are registered for the conference by the stated deadline.
  • There are no submission fees for symposium proposals; presenters are responsible for their travel, registration and accommodation costs.
Information Required for Symposium Proposal
  • Symposium Title — Maximum 25 words, clear and concise.
  • Chairs — Names, affiliations, and contact details for two chairs.
  • Symposium Abstract (250 words max) — Introduction, Methods, Results (if applicable), Conclusion.
  • Symposium Summary (50 words max) — Abridged version for programme/promotional use.
  • List of Presentations — For each presentation include:
    • Title (max. 20 words)
    • Presenter’s name, affiliation, email
    • Short abstract (100 words max)
  • Format — Timing of each presentation, strategies for discussion and audience engagement.
  • Statement of Significance (50 words max) — Why this symposium is timely and relevant.
  • Alignment with Congress Themes (50 words max) — Identify and justify theme relevance.
CONGRESS THEMES

Symposia should align with one or more of the following themes:

• Anatomical Sciences Education
• Surgical and Clinical Anatomy
• Imaging and Radiological Anatomy
• Neuroscience, Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine
• Ethics, Law, and Body Donation in Anatomy
• Anthropological, Forensic & Developmental Anatomy
• AI/Technology-enhanced Anatomical Learning
Review Process

Proposals will be peer-reviewed anonymously by two independent reviewers. Review criteria include:

  • Relevance to anatomy (Y/N)
  • Alignment with theme (Y/N)
  • Appropriateness of format (Y/N)
  • Quality score (1–10)
  • Recommendation: Accept / Revise / Reject

Only accepted symposia with full participation at the Congress will be included in the SOCACON 2026 Abstract Book.

Terms and Conditions
  • All listed authors/presenters have consented to the submission.
  • Chairs and presenters will register for the conference by 15 Dec 2025.
  • Proposals will only be considered if submitted via the official portal by 31 Jan 2026, 23:59 IST.
  • Proposals must be in English, proofread, and free of unexplained abbreviations.
